Here are some recommendations to look after your beautiful new nails, as well as a few absolute no-no’s and must-do’s:

  • Always wear gloves when cleaning, gardening or using hair dyes, chemicals and anything that stains

  • Beware of exposing your nails to naked flames

  • If possible, use cuticle oil to keep cuticles nourished; this will result in healthier nail growth

  • Stick to the recommended follow-up schedule, this will keep you looking at your best

  • Try to take care when opening car doors and pull cans (these are common causes for damaged nails)

Absolute no-no’s and must-do’s:

  • NEVER EVER pick or pull at your gel polish to remove it - this will almost certainly rip away layers of nail and potentially leave you open to infection and certainly weaker nails in the long term - this is an all too common mistake and not worth the risk!

  • Always book for the correct removal procedure (this will ensure the appropriate chemical or product is used in relation to your original treatment, (not all nail treatments are removed with the same chemicals, eg. non-acetone)

Your new nails are jewels, not tools; simply try to treat your hands as you would your face.
